“For a dancer, your body is your instrument. Keeping it as finely tuned as possible is an all-encompassing endeavor. Dancers are fortunate in that there are health practitioners who are knowledgeable in areas that are beneficial for them. Yet, besides being expensive and time absorbing, to know how to self-heal and take responsibility for your own body is both empowering and a very integral part of one’s career.

Julie Donnelly is a generous and very informed practitioner in the field of self-healing. The dancers that worked with her gained a great deal of very important information. This information will surely be carried and used throughout their lives as dancing artists and then beyond.”

Previous Associate Director of the Dance Division The Juilliard School

“Julie Donnelly taught a full-day Julstro Self-Treatment clinic to members of the North Carolina Court Reporters Assn and it was an absolute success!  Not only did we learn why muscles cause pain and stiffness, we also learned why so many medical professionals overlook the muscles when looking for pain.

Julie was fun to work with and was very informative. She taught us how to treat each of the muscles we use repetitively on a daily basis. During our class one member was having such pain and stiffness in her middle finger that her career was in jeopardy, yet after just a few moments of treating the muscle that was the cause of the situation, her finger popped back into place and she was completely out of pain and moving her hand normally.  It was amazing!  Other members had similar results and were thrilled that they were now able to resume activities that had been previously thought of as no longer a part of their life.

The best part is we all left with the knowledge of how to stop pain before it becomes an issue, and we know that Julie would help us out if we found something that stumped us – Julie is very generous with her time and knowledge.  I recommend her highly as a presenter and/or workshop facilitator to your group.”
